Yes, You Can Play and Make Money Too

Welcome to AdsOnTime

There is a program on the Internet which actually lets you play a little interesting game while making money, ...well, a little money. It's AdsOnTime. What's very interesting and no-play about the program is that it can actually advertise your site to billions of viewers around the world within just a few seconds with little cost to you.

How it Works

It normally divides a day into seconds and lets advertisers pay for the seconds they want their ads to be shown.

How You Can Make Money From It

Watch The Ads
Just watch the ads and every so often, a link will appear under the ad window. It will say 'click now to win ...$$$...'. Once you click on the link, you are taken to another window and you have to wait 10 seconds. After that, you have to enter a code they provide you with in a certain text box and submit it.
The only trick is that you have to be the first person to enter the code on the text box or you won't get the money. It might be easy for you to get the money if you were the only one online at that time but with hundreds of people hooked on to the same site and watching for the ads, then it might actually prove to be very difficult to win that much. I once played it and won 10 cents in half an hour. It might be very frustrating, but again, it's a game, and if you have not much to do, you might as well while your time playing it.
Refer People
You can also make money from the program by referring people onto it. For every person you refer, they give you 2% of what that person makes. Yeah, i know, it's not much but again, it's just a game, a game that you play while raking some dimes home.

How Do i Get Paid

You are normally eligible for payment once you earn $30 or more and they send your payment through Western Union, PayPal or MoneyBookers.
It's a little game, a little money game, a little time sucker and a great tool for advertisements, that's my take.

Your AdSense Money and Profit-Sharing Forums

Internet Forums and AdSense Money

As you might well know, there are a lot of discussion forums on the Internet where someone starts a thread and readers respond with postings on the same thread. Forums cover a variety of discussion topics including politics, social and cultural events.

Now, some forums actually pay their subscribers depending on how much they contribute to a discussion or more specifically, depending on the number of times they start a thread (topic) and the popularity of such thread with other readers.

A very good example of such forums is Digital Point Forum.

How The Digital Point Forum Works

Normally, there is an AdSense ad on every topic (thread) that you start and when users click on it, you get paid.

How to Subscribe to The Program

First, you ought to have an active AdSense Google Account, without it there is no way they can direct the money to you. If you've got the AdSense account, you just have to type your AdSense Account Client ID in the box located in your tools section under the edit options.

Kindly note that you must have at least 50 posts to be able to participate in this profit-sharing program. Their revenue sharing program actually started way back in 2004 as an experiment but has stayed on up until now and i guess they wont be pulling it out any time soon.

Special Notes

Kindly note that for any topic that you start, your AdSense Client ID will be used 50% of the time, so generally, you actually get half of what the Forum gets on your topics.

As always, you are not allowed to click on your ads...of course.

My Take

I personally think that this forum is a very good way of earning supplemental cash. However, i highly doubt the ads are clicked that often because as with all other discussion forums, users are always focused on the topic at hand and very rarely care to divert their attention onto the ads.
That said, it may actually prove to be a good way to make money for Internet starters.

Site Optimization and Your AdSense Money

What is Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization for your site simply is the art and science of aligning your website in a way that search engines can be able to retrieve it after they have been served a certain keyword. In search engine optimizations, keywords are just as important, if not more important, as the content.

How Can You Attain Site Optimization

There are many ways in which you can attain maximum optimization for your sites, some simple and others not so simple. Today, I'll talk about three simple methods. We will talk on the more non trivial ones at a later date.
Link Up Your Site With Others

As you might well know, linking up your site with other sites makes your site very popular in the global web and more likely to be retrieved within the top sites for a certain keyword that's prevalent on your site. The number of sites you link to is very important, the more sites you link to, the greater the chance your site will be retrieved in the event of a related keyword search.
Link to Pages with High Page Rank
You have to be careful the kind of sites you link your site to. Search engines rank different sites depending on a horde of issues but most importantly content, and in retrieving search results, higher ranked sites get the first preference. When you link your site to sites with low ranks, then you bet your site might degenerate in ranking. Some people pay high ranked sites so they can link up to them, and it's always a worthwhile venture.
Link Archor Text
Always be sure to put you keywords within the link archor text. The Link Archor Text is the text located in the link that points to our site. More technically, it's the hyperlink and it's normally put between and in HTML. Search Engines usually put a lot of weight to this text when performing the search operation and as such you should make sure that your Link Archor Text is rich in keywords.

As i told you, today we looked at three very basic means of optimizing your website for increased traffic and in the near future we will dig in deeper and find other not so easy but interesting ways that you can use to optimize you site. In the meantime, if you follow these three techniques to the letter, you sure will see an increase in your site's traffic and laugh all the way to the bank!

AdSense Revenue and Competitive Ad Filter

Competitive ad Filter is a programmed tool provided by the Goolge Adsense Team to block competitive ads from appearing on your site. What it does is that it tells the Google Crawler--which serves the ads--not to serve certain ads on your site. Google will allow you to enter upto 200 URLs where you don't wish certain ads to be served and elect to serve different kind of ads. Indeed, you can tell Google the kind of ads you would like to be served and they will have them for you.

Competitive ad filter are often used by people who won't like customers to be directed away from their websites into competing sites dealing with the same stuff as them.

The Reasons For This Are:

Made For AdSense (MFA) Sites
These are sites that are primarily there for displaying AdSense Ads. They just have an headline and have AdSense ads in them.

The reason these sites are detrimental to your revenue with AdSense is that they serve cheap ads. Here is an example of how they really can milk you of your AdSense Income:

An MFA site subscribes to the Google AdWords program and bids the minimum amount on a keyword on your site. This ad from the MFA site shows up on your site. A reader clicks an ad ftom your page onto an MFA site, and you can about 1 to 10 cents. MFA sites have just ads, so it;s possible the reader will leave an MFA site by clicking an ad, propably an expensive one.The MFA site makes $1 or more. It's true that not all readers will click on an ad but it's most propable that they will because of the sheer volume of the ads. Enough ads may eventually be clicked within a single day for the MFA site to generate a net profit of 500% or more. For this reason alone, many web authors elect to blacklist certain URLs and tell Goolgle not to serve them with ads from them. You can see some of the MFA site here

Competition

As we said earlier, some publishers don't want to drive their hard-earned customers from their site onto competitive sites and that's the main reason they elect to have google not serving them with ads pertaining a certain subject or from a certain URL.

AdSense Works, You Can Be The Next Billionaire

What is Google's AdSense Anyway?

AdSense is an Ad-Serving Program run by the Google Corporation and extended to web publishers or even bloggers who may not know anything about web authoring. It lets Google serve targeted ads on web pages and you can get to earn a lot if your page is visited or your AdSense ads are clicked. One of the greatest reasons why the Google AdSense Program has proved to be so successful is because the ads are less intrusive than other traditional web advertising methods like banners. The other and perhaps most interesting reason is that the ads are targeted to the sites to which they are served, and it will be most likely that users will almost certainly click on those ads therefore generating revenue for the web author.

How You Can Sign Up

To sign up for the Google AdSense Program, you fill in a short form and then Google will most certainly accept you to participate in their program. Once approved, Google will fix you some code to paste onto your site. After that our money will just keep on coming....to your own account. How cool!

AdSense Categories

The Following are the Google AdSense Categories you can have your ads served on:
AdSense For Content
This is the most common ad serving technique publishers go for. They are textual (often served), image or video ads. You are paid if they are clicked or per thousand impressions (number of times your page is served). You can also choose to have a linked list in addition to the text, video and image ads. Google's policy allows you to have 3 video, image or text ads and 1 linked list per unit page.

Referrals
These ads generally promote google's AdSense, AdWords or FireFox with the Google Toolbar. Payment for this is much different than the Content ads but you normally get paid if the end-user downloads any of them. Your are allowed to place one on each unit page.
AdSense For Search
With this, you place the Google Search box on your site and get paid if someones searches anything from it. However, Google will offset some of the costs it incurs while performing the search operation from your revenue. You are allowed to have 2 of these in each unit page.

How Does AdSense Work

Google's ads are site specific. This means that if you have a site or blog talking about 'Mortgage' then Google serves ads related to Mortgage. The ads go through competitive bidding and it's very common that the ads may have different prices on them. Google uses Mediabot, the Robot that crawls through your site and serves you relevant ads, to read the content of you page and serve site specific ads.

Can I be The Next Billionaire

Sure you can and Google's AdSense can all very much help you realize this dream. I know of friends who have made quite a fortune from this and once you try it, you will realize that you indeed can be the next celebrated billionaire.
